Anne de Coury
Anne de Courcy has spent many years in journalism, working chiefly on the Evening Standard and Daily Mail. Her nine books
include 1939: The last Season; Society's Queen (the life of Edith, Lady Londonderry); The Viceroy's Daughters, the Lives of
the Curzon Sisters; and the biography of Diana Mosley. Debs at War, for which she interviewed 47 pre-Second War debutantes,
contrasts their cocooned and privileged pre-war lives with the harsh and often dangerous realities of their active wartime service,
comes out at the end of June 2005. She is currently working on the authorised biography of Lord Snowdon.
